Duties and Responsibilities The Sr. Controls Engineering will need to work professionally with our vendors, management, engineers and technicians to engineer and project manage the operation and maintenance of existing custom automation equipment. This role will require working with company specifications, timelines, budgets, drawings and other information to create the custom automation. Conceive concept ideas that will meet manufacturing operations' needs. These concepts should ideally be:
feasible, functional, simple, inexpensive, robust, safe, easy to operate and easy to maintain. Engineer and maintain custom electrical and control designs Upgrade old machines with new controls Re-home robots and enhance (Epson, Fanuc, Adept) Maintain and create all electrical and controls designs and drawings. Program a wide range of automation components Troubleshoot by examining code and machine down condition indications. Connect and make changes to PLC, HMI, Robots and VFD's. Coordinate with management, vendors, engineers, and technicians. Assist the electrical engineering design of the automation May travel to other sites to assist with automation equipment troubleshooting Organize project files and documents. Research and select vendor purchased components for projects. Successfully manage the evolution of custom automation such as debug, burn-in, install and training on new and existing equipment. Other responsibilities as required by supervisor. Skills and Experience 7
years of relevant experience BS Degree in Electrical Engineer or related Engineering discipline Fluent with programming many automation components Proficient with CAD Experience with project management Proficient and professional communication skill Experienced with automation components; motors, servos, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, cams, hydraulics, pneumatics and other devices.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
