Resort Manager

Purpose:
The purpose of the Assistant Resort Manager is to assist in managing the resorts daily operation, maintain established costs and Quality standards. The Assistant Resort Manager is responsible for maintaining the resorts assets, development of the resorts human resources and Owner/Guest satisfaction; and assisting in all financial responsibilities of the resort. The Assistant Resort Manager is also responsible for assisting in all board communications as well as meetings.
Responsibilities:
o Associate management - To assist in recruiting, training and ongoing training of all staff. Perform appraisals of department managers, coach and counsel, and develop all resort management staff.
o Organize monthly meetings and perform follow up to all staff.
o Assist with maintaining procedure for orientation, training and development of all associates.
o Inventory Management - Insure the resorts inventory is managed effectively to attain the highest yield per resort objectives.
o Manage and achieve all areas of the budgets by implementing proper controls. Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making and inventory control while focusing on creative cost controls and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit for the property.
o Controls/Budgets/Financials - Assists in preparing and submitting the resorts annual business plan. Assists in managing and achieving all areas of budgets by implementing proper controls.
o Periodically checks audits to ensure all financial controls. Ensure all financial SOP's are being followed as outlined in the Financial SOP checklist. Anticipates and documents capital expenditure requirements.
o Guest/Owner Relations - Maintains personal contact with owners/guests of resort.
o Respond appropriately to owner/guest problems. Ensure 100% satisfaction on all complaints, ensuring the service is delivered in a friendly and personalized manner. Conducts regular monitoring of Medallia feedback.
o Monitors and maintains procedures for safety of guests and personnel.
o Maintains high levels of service as outlined in the SOP manual.
o Maintains high visibility at the property; promotes safety and security awareness among all staff members.
o Performs weekly inspections to ensure quality. Ensure all communication standards are being met and all association administration and fiduciary duties are being carried out.
o Reporting and Communication - Assists in weekly and end of month reports as outlined by the General Manager.
o Manages the relationships with all outside vendors performing services at the resort.
o Makes recommendations and analysis of alternatives to provide housekeeping services, maintenance of the property and other contract services. Ensures that all outside services provided regularly at the property are properly contracted out with the approval of our legal department
o May perform other duties as required

Requirements:
o High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
o 2 years Hospitality Management
o Knowledge of daily operations of front desk, reservations, guest relations, service recovery and problem resolution
o Must have excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with associates and Guests/Owners
o Knowledge of Vacation Ownership is not required but preferred
o Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office Suite, Internet Explorer, company's intranet system and corporate policies and procedures
o Must have follow-through process on short-term and long-term programs. Multi-tasking skills are needed. Self-starter able to work independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to deal with ever-changing situations. Must be able to work independently and motivate all staff members. Must be able to develop management staff. Must have strong planning and organization skills. Must be proficient on PC
o Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately.
o Strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
